A new study shows that a warm-up program can reduce injuries by 48% among young soccer players. The study assessed the FIFA11+ Kids program, a warm-up routine designed to prevent soccer-related injuries in players under 14-years-old.
The FIFA11+ program involves a short series of exercises to improve body control and awareness. Researchers reviewed previous data and compared the FIFA11+ Kids program against a normal warm-up program. They found that the FIFA11+ Kids program reduced overall injury risk, and risk of knee and ankle injuries among young soccer players.
